Vector Transmission:
Virus is transmitted by arthropods, by insects
of the order Hemiptera, family Aphididae; Myzus persicae. Virus is
transmitted in a persistent manner.
Experimentally infected insusceptible Hosts: Families containing insusceptible hosts: Chenopodiaceae, Solanaceae. Species inoculated with virus that do not show signs of susceptibility: Capsicum annuum, Chenopodium album, Datura metel, Datura stramonium, Petunia x hybrida, Solanum tuberosum.
Physalis floridana usually symptomless but co-infection with this virus and physalis mild chlorosis (?) luteovirus induce chlorotic vein-netting.
Diagnostic host: insusceptible host species Chenopodium album, Capsicum annuum, Datura metel, D. stramonium, Petunia x hybrida and Solanum tuberosum.
